It is with great sadness to say that we have lost our dearest Louie the drummer.
Our deepest sympathies and condolences to Louie’s family.
Life will never be the same.

Due to extended Victorian COVID restrictions, we’re unable to perform LIVE at the Flow festival with an Auslan interpreter.
You can however register free to the festival which will be online and catch some Auslan interpreted SuburbanProphets shows and videos. Just click here for details and free registration. There’s a heap of creative Deaf artists showcasing their work also.
How does a Rock ‘n’ Roll band perform to a Deaf or hard of hearing audience?

Check out the upcoming online Flow Festival here. FLOW festival will deliver a vibrant and unique festival of Deaf Arts by the Australian Deaf Community from 18th to 21st September 2021 online. It will showcase Auslan, Australian Sign Language through many different artistic forms
Well, we have done this before back in 2016. Here’s a quote from The Guardian (14/12/2016)
“When Suburban Prophets come on, the evening kicks into gear – the hard and dark rock band have turned the bass up to 11. The buzz is so strong it thrums through the air and lands in the collarbone; even the cider bottle in my hand is vibrating. This is music for the deaf: vibration piped right into the bones, bypassing the ears.“
Our first gig for more than 12 months is this Friday 26th March at Mr Boogie Man Bar Melbourne with good mates The Pharaohs and Half n Half. For fans, friends and family from other parts of the world, we hope you’re staying safe and well.
Howdy stomp rockers, due to the current pandemic, all Suburban Prophets gigs are cancelled until further notice. This includes the upcoming PAVE Funfest event. Stay safe everyone, follow all recommended health protocols and we’ll be back later in the year with new music and gigs!
In the meantime, you can still hear our tunes on
or purchase them on Bandcamp, iTunes and the usual digital platforms
Suburban Prophets were more than happy to play a fire charity fundraiser gig in Frankston. Great to lots of bands contributing to raising money at other fire benefit events also.
We got a new single coming up for release, more news on that soon.
Next gig March 29th Funfest at PAVE festival in Emerald. We’re on the main stage at 3pm. Always a crackin day out, hope to see some of you rockers there!
Rock For West Papua a benefit gig which we were proud to be a part of. Thanks to Crazy Dave for organising a huge event. We had a blast! On bass, Daz from the Dead Pharaohs.
Pics by Paul Lowe and Buff G, cheers lads!
Yep we know, it’s been 6 months since our last gig. We’re back though at Melbourne’s rock institution ‘The Tote.’ Joining us again on bass is the ever likable Darren McMurrty (The Dead Pharaohs). We’re kicking off the night (September 4th) at 8.30. James Griffin and then Urban Guerillas (Sydney) will be finishing off the evening. Hope to see some of you peeps there.
After a nice warm up gig at The Tote last week with fill in bass player Darren from The Dead Pharaohs, we’re off and running. It’s the Vineyard tonight, one of the jewels of St Kilda.
After Pony getting a good run, we’ve just released our second single for the year ‘STABBY the UNICORN’. Recorded at GM studios by audio engineer Chris Gatz and mastered by David Briggs. It’s currently available on our Bandcamp page found here. It will be available on all digital platforms soon.
We had our single launch at the Central Club Hotel with a cranking PA 😉
After several months off, Suburban Prophets were back doing our thing performing live at the Vineyard St Kilda.

Our next show also at the Vineyard is with good mates The Dead Pharaohs, City Sharps and Startakit October 25th. Stellar line up and we’re stoked to be sharing the stage with this fine mob.
Event details here.
We’re back in the recording studio in November to record our next single. Put it on your Xmas list!
